Collectively through all their offices, Globeflight processes over 100,000 shipments per month for their 6000 + customers.
The Challenge
- Finding a Canadian partner to receive consolidated courier line hauls into Canada from Globeflight’s central UK hub and deliver each package to the door, anywhere in the country
The Solution
eShipper was able to receive the consolidated freight that arrives at Toronto Pearson airport from the UK and transfer the shipments to their bonded sufferance warehouse. The staff at eShipper began to custom clear all courier shipments and electronically stage each package into the eShipper portal for delivery to the ultimate consignees.
The Results
Utilizing eShipper’s customs clearance and delivery service into Canada, Globeflight was able to save substantially by consolidating multiple shipments into one and then having them injected into the domestic Canadian courier stream. Taking advantage of eShipper’s electronic manifesting saved employees time in having to re-enter waybills to process shipments into the eShipper system. Timely customs clearances by eShipper has allowed Globeflight to honour their time sensitive delivery deadlines they offer to their customers.
